Turning Stone Casino, Verona, New York - Saturday night was the heavily hyped Showtime televised debut of former WBO junior welterweight champion Ruslan 'Siberian Rocky' Provodnikov (25-5, 18KOs).

His debut was going to be a launching pad to much bigger things on Showtime - including a potential fall encounter with former four division world champion Adrien Broner.

Things did not go as planned, as John Molina (29-6, 23KOs) boxed his way to a solid twelve round unanimous decision over Provodnikov (25-5, 18KOs). The scores were 116-112, 117-111 and 115-113.

Provodnikov was heavily favored to win the fight. He now stands at losing three of his last five and four of his last seven.

The big puncher admits that he might consider the option of retirement, but requires some time to think about his future in more details.

"It's hard to say anything right now. Today was my 30th fight. Not that many fights, but I feel that in most of my fights I gave 200% when I could have given 100%. I'm a very emotional fighter and that's the way fight. Let me wait a little bit, give it some thought to that and figure that out. Maybe the fire inside me is dimming down but I have to think about it, come to senses and see how I feel," Provodnikov told BoxingScene.com.

"I wouldn't want the fans to remember me as a disgraceful Siberian Rocky. I want fans to remember me in the way that they know me now, like they remember me from previous fights. So if I do decide that I need to leave, I would rather do it earlier than later because I want my fans to remember me in a good way - that's important to me."

At this moment Provodnikov has no desire to fight again, but he might change his mind if the right opportunity comes along that strokes the fire back in his belly.

"Maybe it's only certain fights that excite me. Or maybe only certain opponents excite me. Maybe if I'm offered a certain fight, that really gets that fire in my heart back, then I'll come back and fight again," Provodnikov said.

"But at the moment I feel like I don't want to fight again. I feel like I'm over it, but those are my feelings at the moment. I have to see how it goes. I have to see if I can find [that fire] if I can."
