Light heavyweight Nicholson Poulard (19-3, 9KOs) says the opportunity to fight WBC super middleweight champion Carl Froch could provide him with the opportunity to avange his family. Poulard is the brother of former light heavyweight champion Jean Pascal, who lost a twelve round decision to Froch (29-2, 21KOs) in December 2008.

Froch is going to announce his November opponent on Monday and Poulard was offered the opportunity to become that opponent. Poulard is not really sure that he's capable of getting down to 168.

"It's an offer that I will seriously consider. I could avenge my brother," Poulard said.

As BoxingScene.com previously reported, Poulard's team is also negoiating a potential fight with WBA 175-pound champion Beibut Shumenov, which they admit is a more probable opportunity than a fight with Froch.
