Elite Boxing Promotions, the Ukrainian company guided by Stepan Chernovetskiy (the son of Kiev former mayor Leonid Chernovetskiy), has won the purse bid for a right to promote WBC light welterweight final eliminator between their protégé and WBC #1 rated Victor Postol (25-0, 10 KOs) and dangerous former world title challenger Selcuk Aydin (26-2, 19 KOs), who is rated #2 by the World Boxing Council. The Super WBA and WBC champion in this weight class is Danny Garcia (27-0, 16 KOs).

The purse bid took place on February 11 in Mexico, with EBP offering $120,000 USD, vastly outbidding Aydin’s promoter Ahmet Oner, who has offered only $50,000 USD. Elite Boxing Promotion has up to ninety days to arrange the fight. The bout will tentatively take place at the end of April either in Kiev or in Brovary. Both combatants will receive half of the purse.
