Japan's Tomoki "The Mexicanito" Kameda, the bantamweight champion of the World Boxing Organization (WBO), is currently training in Cebu City, Philippines. He is preparing for his next title defense scheduled for November 1 in Chicago, Illinois. Kameda will face mandatory challenger Alejandro "Clown" Hernandez of Mexico in a Showtime televised fight from the UIC Pavilion. It will be the third defense of the crown he won from Paulus Ambunda in August of last year.

Tomoki is in Cebu training with his brother Koki Kameda, looking physically fit and highly motivated for this match against Hernandez, who is currently the interim WBO bantamweight champion. Tomoki comes in with a record of 30-0 with 19 knockouts, while Hernandez comes to this match with a record of 28-10-2, 15 KOs.
