Former heavyweight world champion Shannon "The Cannon" Briggs and lightweight contender Hylon Williams Jr. are training at "The Heavyweight Factory" Gym for their upcoming fights.

As we all know, Briggs is looking for another shot at the world heavyweight title. Since his defeat in 2010 against Vitali Klitschko for the WBC title, Briggs took some time off and then returned to win his next eight bouts.

"Shannon has a lot to give to boxing; this stage of his career has been a success. Right now he's only doing light work to keep in shape, to be ready to step into the ring," said Gerardo Gomez, the physical conditioning coach for Briggs and Williams Jr.

Williams Jr. returned to boxing in 2015 and fought to a draw against Jason Litzau in August in Connecticut. Today, he says he is ready to give the fans great fights.

"I am very excited, we will face a very good Latin opponent and I hope get another victory"

"Next week we will make the announcement. We are in negotiations for this fight. The talks are on track, and I think it will be a fight that will appeal to all boxing fans," said Williams Jr.
