Promoter Pepe Gomez of Cancun Boxing held the final press conference for Saturday's main event, where Mexican puncher Sergio "Yeyo" Thompson (30-3, 26KOs) will get a big test and a possible world title when he faces Bryan Vasquez (33-1, 17KOs) for the WBA interim-super featherweight championship in Cancun, Mexico.

This wil be Thompson's third fight of the year. He got big win back in March with a ten round unanimous decision over Ricardo Alvarez, the older brother of Saul "Canelo" Alvarez.

Vasquez also had a big year, but only fought once. He appeared on the Manny Pacquiao-Timothy Bradley undercard in April and won a twelve round decision over previously undefeated Jose Felix Jr.
