Hatton, who walked away from the sport with a record of 45 wins and 3 losses, will take on Barrera, 48, over eight rounds on July 2nd in Manchester.

Hatton retired in 2012, while Barrera, who was beaten by Amir Khan in 2009, last fought in 2011.

Hatton attempted a comeback in 2012, but he was knocked out by Ukraine's Vyacheslav Senchenko - which sent the Manchester legend back into retirement.

He initially retired back in 2009, after suffering a brutal two round knockout at the hands of Manny Pacquiao.
