AUSTRALIAN boxing's golden girl Susie 'Q' Ramadan (23-1, 8 KOs) staked her claim as one of the nation's greatest ever female fighters as she weathered the challenge of Usanakorn Kokietgym (11-2, 10 KOs) - before dethroning the WBC female bantamweight titlist to earn her second world-title over ten gruelling rounds at The Melbourne Pavilion overnight.

The judges scored the bout 97-93 and 99-91 twice

Kokietgym, 24, who entered the fight with a cloud of mystery surrounding her gender status, presented a stern challenge to Ramadan, who was clearly the smaller of the two fighters.

Ramadan, 33, used her superior hand speed, work rate and sublime footwork to keep Kokietgym off balance, while also spending a majority of the contest off the ropes and in the centre of the ring.

The fight ended with the both combatants exchanging blows after the final bell as a clearly frustrated Kokietgym attempted to continue trading blows well after the fight had ended.

nHaving clearly beaten Kokietgym,  the door is now open to a potential rematch with Alesia Graf, who Ramadan edged in her WBC title eliminator last February in a Fight of the Year contender.

With the victory, Ramadan now solidifies her legacy as one of Australia's greatest ever female fighters - adding the WBC crown to her IBF bantamweight title she had won 18-months earlier.

At the end of the night, it was fair to say that the better fighter had won in a spirited and exciting affair.

Kokietgym lost for only the second time, which was her first in over three-years.
