BIG BEAR, California - Mexican super middleweight contender Gilberto “Zurdo” Ramírez (30-0, 24 KOs) is working hard in Big Bear for the upcoming HBO televised fight, over ten rounds at a catch-weight of 171-pounds, against Maxim Vlasov (30-1, 15 KOs). The fight will be the co-feature to the main event trilogy between Brandon Ríos and Mike Alvarado in Denver. Ramirez is getting some tough rounds in sparring with Ukrainian light heavyweight contender Vyacheslav “Slava” Shabransky.

Jesus Zapari, Ramirez's manager, said - "Slava is fighting on the 17th in Las Vegas and this preparation is also benefiting him. Next week other boxers who train with Abel Sánchez are going to report here at The Summit and help Gilberto get prepared for the fight in the way we expect."
