“It is an honour for me to open the new WBSS season in my home country,” said Inoue at the podium at the weigh-in in Tokyo. “My prediction for the fight? Victory!”

Juan Carlos Payano, Dominican Republic (34) (21-1, 9 KOs): 53,2 kg.

“It is not the first time I travel to my opponent’s backyard so it is not going to be a problem for me,” said Payano.

“I am looking forward to fighting in front of the Japanese fans and on Sunday Inoue will know who I am!"

WBA World Super-Lightweight Championship

Kiryl Relikh, Belarus (28) (22-2, 19 KOs): 63,50 kg.

“I am happy to be here,” said Relikh. “Anything can happen on Sunday, a punch can change everything, but I feel confident in winning."

Eduard Troyanovsky Russia (38) (27-1, 24 KOs): 63,1 kg.

“It is a big honour and possibility for me to be a part of the World Boxing Super Series,“ said Troyanovsky. “I am looking forward to fighting Relikh on Sunday.”
