Legendary former world champion and now promoter, "Iron" Mike Tyson, stopped by the Iron Mike Productions Gym in Deerfield Beach, Florida. Upon his arrival, Tyson was received by CEO Garry Jonas, and manager Henry Rivalta , with two of the top prospects Erickson Lubin and Dennis Galarza, who are having their second fights on January 3 in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

In addition, some of the Iron Mike Productions team fighters like Joan Guzman and Juan Carlos Payano were at the gym and conducted an intense sparring session. Additionally, the brothers Lamont and Anthony Peterson and a huge group of promising young pros and amateurs were putting in work.

"Mike Tyson took the time to point out some tips to Lubin, while the 18 year old fighter hit the bag.

"I should have stood more firmly on my legs when I hit, and adding to that I need to move my head to avoid the shots and he said that I have the time and talent to achieve great things in professional boxing," Lubin said

Later, Mike Tyson observed the training of current IBF featherweight world super champion Argenis Mendez, who is prepared to defend his crown on January 3rd in Minneapolis against the Cuban Rances Barthelemy in the main event fight broadcast by the ESPN "Friday Night Fight" series.

And the WBA’s #1 ranked bantamweight contender Juan Carlos Payano, who trains out of Miami FL by way of La Vega, Dominican Republic and promoted by Iron Mike Productions will have his title shot in early 2014.

“Whether it’s against Koki Kameda or Anselmo Moreno, I’m ready and I will be the new WBA bantamweight world champion and a future boxing great,” - said Payano.

Mike Tyson is keeping close supervision of the fighters in his young promotional company and Payano or “Baby Pacquiao” as he is better known is one of the most exciting fighters to watch for the high intensity pace he maintains through many rounds.

“I’m very happy to have Mike Tyson as my promoter. It’s a great feeling to know that I have the backing of someone who has been in the ring like myself and is now a hall of famer, because he has knowledge of the business we’re in and gives me great pointers in the ring too” – says Payano.
