Less than three weeks away before he challenges for the super featherweight belt of the World Boxing Organization (WBO). Mexican slugger Miguel "Scorpion" Berchelt  is taking quite a journey in search of getting in the best physical condition of his life.

He takes on world champion Roman "Rocky" Martinez of Puerto Rico on March 12.

Berchelt get this opportunity to headline in a great career moment thanks to the efforts of Zanfer and Max Boxing, who left no stone unturned to set this event in the Poliforum Zamna in Merida, Yucatan, with the card being transmitted by Azteca 7, La Casa del Boxing.

The "Scorpion" is undergoing the strong stage of preparation in Hermosillo, Sonora, under the supervision of Alfredo Caballero, who is the coach of double world champion Juan Francisco "Gallo" Estrada.

The entire team of trainers, massage therapists, nutritionists and assistants are very focused on the preparation of Miguel, who is getting hard work from Pedro Campa, Ramon Ramirez and Eduardo Hidalgo.

"On Monday I had my first twelve round session and I'm more than ready to be crowned world champion with God's favor," said Berchelt, "I worked very hard for this and it is an opportunity that I will not miss. Few fighters get such a cherished opportunity. In my mind I am only focused on winning an I'm not thinking about anything else."

"I will do this for my family, for the people who support me, for my promoter, those in Mexico who have always relied on me, but especially for myself. On March 12 I'll leave my soul and heart in the ring. I'm ready for a war and the people who attend will leave with a good taste in their mouths, I assure you of that."
