Olympic gold medal winner, lightweight contender Luke Campbell 13-1-0 (11KO's) traded punches with super lightweight Yordan Frometa 10-0-0 (7 KO's) for six intense rounds of a session sparring session - where neither fighter held back their punches and fought toe to toe. Campbell - who is trained by Jorge Rubio and Luis Frometa by "Chiro" Perez - were both present as they are preparing their fighters for their upcoming dates.

Campbell is set to return to the ring on July 30th in Leeds, when he faces former world champion Argenis Mendez (23-4-1, 12KOs). Mendez was stopped back in April in five rounds by Robert Easter Jr.

Campbell born on September 27, 1987 currently holds the Commonwealth lightweight title. As an amateur he won gold medals at the 2012 Olympics and 2008 European Championships, as well as silver at the 2011 World Championships, all in the bantamweight division.

Campbell's first professional fight took place in July of 2013 at Craven Park in his home city of Hull. His opponent was Andy Harris who he beat in the first round. Campbell continued his undefeated start to his career with a 5th round stoppage of Lee Connelly in Hull in November 2013. In his fifth professional bout Campbell carried on his undefeated record and became the first person to stop Scott Moises.

In April 2014 Campbell announced that he would be taking a break from boxing, pulling off his next scheduled bout, following his father being diagnosed with cancer.

Yordan Frómeta, is a former Cuban amateur boxer who won U17 and junior world titles at featherweight. At the U17 world championships in 2005 he edged out Onur Sipal in the final. At the National senior championships 2006 he lost his semifinal to Luis Franco, at the World junior championships 2006 he defeated Hamza Kramou and narrowly beat US-American Sadam Ali and won again. In 2007 he moved up to lightweight but was outclassed by dominant 2005 world champion Yordenis Ugás.

Frometa and Luis “Chiro” as usually, they recently open his training camp at the 5th St. Gym in South Miami, Fla.

His fight against Ken Alvarez in May 14-16 has been nominated as a possible fight of the year in the Pennsylvania State. Frometa and his coach, "Chiro" Perez are focused in the training to face an opponent to be announced in the
