On Saturday night, Juergen Braehmer (45-2, 33 KOs) defends his WBA World Light Heavyweight title against Robin Krasniqi (43-3, 16 KOs) at the StadtHalle in Rostock, Germany. Ahead of their sell-out world championship clash, both fighters took part in public workout today at the Ostsee-Park.

In his last championship defence, Braehmer set a record for the fastest knock out in a light heavyweight title fight since the formation of the major alphabet organisations, with his opponent Pawel Glazewski lasting just fifty-five seconds in the ring.

Today in Rostock, Krasniqi may have set a record for the shortest public workout in history. Having greeted the crowd and laced his gloves, the Munich fighter lasted only ten seconds before making his excuses and leaving the ring.

Thankfully for the fans in attendance, the reigning and defending champion showed significantly more in the ring. Displaying textbook combinations to the delight of a raucous crowd, who cheered every punch the local hero threw into the mitts of his coach Karsten Roewer. ‘’It’s great to be here in Rostock,’’ exclaimed Braehmer. ‘’On Saturday night, I will give you even more to cheer about. I will defeat Krasniqi and retain my world title!’’

The WBA World Light Heavyweight Championship fight between Juergen Braehmer and Robin Krasniqi is available to watch live on SAT.1 in Germany and Sky Sports in the UK.
