The bout was the first for Buatsi with new head trainer Virgil Hunter, who is best known for his work with two-division champion Andre Ward.

After controlling the first round, Buatsi landed a series of hard punches to drop Dos Santos to the mat. There wasn't much from Dos Santos in the third, with Buatsi stalking and landing the harder punches.

In the fourth, a big hook put Dos Santos to sleep and the fight was quickly waved off as the boxer crumbled to the mat out cold.
