Dominican star and former world champion, Joan Guzman 31-0-1 (18 KO's), returns to the ring on March 2 against Boricua boxer Jesus Pabon 17-2-0 (11 KO's). The card is presented by Acquinity Sport, which is run by Cuban-American Henry Rivalta in The Westin Diplomat of Hollywood, Fla.

Joan Guzman held an evening sparring session (6 rounds) with his countryman Juan Carlos Payano and Cuban Jessi Cruz, in the gym owned by the trainer German Caicedo in Miami. The Dominican came accompanied by his physical conditioner Axel Murillo and his trainer Don Saxby.

“I’m a little indisposed with digestive problems, and this prevented from increasing more intensity in the sparring session. Anyway, it makes me happy that theses young prospects are trained hard and I’m grateful to them for their help and want to be able to teach them also, something of what we have learned during my career inside this sport," said Guzmán.

Henry Rivalta CEO of Acquinity Sports invited all of the fans to attend the event on March 2 and showed us his pride for having boxers with the talent of Guzmán, whom they signed recently.

“Joan is one of these fighters who everybody want to see, his skill and talent is amazing and in this stage of his career. We hope to lead him to fighting for a title in the near future against rivals such as Amir Khan or Lamont Peterson,” assured Rivalta.
