The official weigh-in ceremony was held on Friday afternoon for for tomorrow's showdown involving former world champion Jhonny Gonzalez (62-10, 52 KOs), who will defend his World Boxing Council (WBC) International super featherweight belt against Francisco "Dominican Boy" Contreras (30-5, 23 KOs).

The fight will headline the eleven being staged by Promociones De Pueblo in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, Mexico.

During his turn on the scale, González came in at 58,600 kilograms [129.1-pounds], while his challenger Contreras also had no problems and weighed in 58,500 kilograms [128.9-pounds]. Both of them appeared to be in excellent physical condition.

Gonzalez spoke to the press about this fight and said he's in tip top condition.

"I have prepared a hundred percent and although I had a last minute change of opponent, my team and I have carefully studied the Dominican fighter and I assure you that we have the strategy to beat him," Gonzalez said.

Ready to return to the big time, Jhonny confirms  that among his plans for this year is to challenger for the WBC super featherweight title, in a big career goal where he's eager to add another championship to his already impressive record.

As part of the undercard, a feminine grudge match will take place, as Lourdes "Little Lulú" Juárez and Juarense Karina "La Bella" Fernandez will collide in the ring. The young Juárez marked a weight of 50,900 kilograms, while Fernandez had no problems making 50,600 kilograms. Their fight will be contested over ten rounds.
