Former three time world champion Jhonny Gonzalez (57-9, 48KOs) of Mexico is ready to begin his next title run on Saturday night against Japan's Kazuki Hashimoto in Morelia for the WBC International super featherweight title.

As previously reported, Jhonny made some changes to his team. After seven years, he is no longer led by Hall of Fame trainer Ignacio 'Nacho' Beristáin. He is now being supervised by Fermín Hernández at the Diaz Miron Gym.

Gonzalez is trying to recover after his April knockout loss to Gary Russell Jr. His ultimate aim is to secure a fight with formidable WBC super featherweight champion Takashi Miura of Japan.
