Photos: Jason Quigley Edges Shane Mosley Jr. To Close Points Win

Mandalay Bay, Las Vegas - In a crossroads fight at middleweight, Jason Quigley (19-1, 14 KOs) won a very close ten round majority decision over Shane Mosley Jr. (17-4, 10 KOs). (photos by Ed Mulholland)

The scores were 95-95, 97-93 and 96-94.

After one round, the left eye of Quigley had swelling and a lot of redness from the punches of Mosley. The rounds were going back and forth with mostly a boxing match being played out. Mosley had the edge during exchanges.

Mosley was getting aggressive in the fifth, with both boxers having moments but Mosley was landing the better shots. Mosley continued land big shots in the sixth, with Quigley shooting solid jab in return. In the seventh they both seemed to get buzzed from big shots as they were trading often at close range.

A close eight and ninth, with Quigley answering with good shots and movements to make the rounds close. They were trading at the start of the tenth, with good shots landing for both. Quigley was pressing forward and taking the fight to Mosley, who landed several shots to stun the Irish boxer. They exchanged big shots to end the fight.
