Former US Olympian and world title challenger Rocky Juarez held a grand opening for his gym Rocky's in Houston over the Cinco de Mayo weekend. Juarez had recently bought the gym from his longtime trainer Ray Ontiveros. Over the last few months, Juarez made renovations and painted the exterior of the building, converting it from Ray's to Rocky's in the Northside neighborhood where he grew up.

Juarez, 37, will serve as the head trainer at the gym where he intends to cultivate and develop young talent in both the amateur and pro ranks. He was 12 when he first stepped into the gym in 1992 and trained there for the next 25 years. Among Juarez's youngest trainees will be his 6-year-old son and Ontiveros' 7-year-old son.
