Middleweights Marco Antonio "Veneno" Rubio and Gennady "GGG" Golvokin went face to face for the first time at the ESPN studio in Los Angeles. They are scheduled to each other for the WBA/IBO/WBC interim titles on October 18 at the StubHub Center in Carson, California.

The two fighters were questioned by the legendary former world champion, Julio Cesar Chavez, and  David Faitelson. "Mexican Style" is the name of the card being broadcast live on HBO's World Championship Boxing. Rubio boasts a record of 59 wins, 51 of those by knockout in exchange for six losses and a draw. Golovkin is undefeated with 30 wins, and 27 of them by way of knockout.
