Clarke came out controlling the action with a stiff jab and following that shot with a few rights here and there. Allen held a high guard and managed to avoid the bigger shots. Allen was looking to up the workrate in the second, but continued to eat a lot of jabs.

Clarke connected with some harder punches in the third, with Allen taking them well. As the fight played out, Clarke was working the body, but some of the punches strayed low and he was deducted two points for low blows in the sixth round. Because of the deductions, Clarke began to pick up the pace and was really letting his hands go with head shots.

When Allen was going back to the corner, he motioned to his corner that he was unable to continue due to injury and the fight was waved off. It was revealed after the fight that Allen suffered a busted eardrum.
