Cuban star Erislandy Lara 15-1-1 (10 KO's) has accelerated his training. He wants to achieve best physical condition of his career.

“The next fight is against Ronald Hearns on April 20th in Biloxi. After I finish this fight we will discuss our next opponent, but now my principal target is to defeat Hearns and this is what we will do,” Lara Said.

The Cuban keeps on training day by day with enormous dedication at the Savannah Gym in Houston. Last week Lara did about 18 rounds in different sparring sessions along with the local unbeaten super welterweight Jermell Charlo 17-0-0.

“Jermell has helped me for this fight, and I am grateful for his help Lara said, “ These brothers are very good (the brothers Charlo are twins) and we do a great work together. For his past fight I helped him prepare and now he's doing it for me ” Lara added.

“The hard plan of work that we realize, guarantees me that we will be in unbeatable technical and physical condition,” assured Lara.

We asked him what is the main motivating factor in the gym and he answered - “First of all my wife and children, and then my dreams. The desire to give them the best things and it is necessary to think about heir future, a house and health of course, and to have the possibility of assuring my children access to a college university when they grow up, because I don't want any more boxers in my family.”
