Erik Skoglund (18-0, 9 KOs) and coach Karsten Roewer have arrived in Frederikshavn ahead of the Swedish light heavyweight’s first EU title defence. Skoglund faces Adasat Rodriguez (9-2-1, 6 KOs) at the Arena Nord in Frederikshavn on Saturday.

‘’It was a hell of a ride to get here,’’ said Skoglund. ‘’We drove through the snow for seven hours but I am happy to be here and ready to fight Rodriguez on Saturday. I am excited to be defending my EU title for the first time. It will be nice to do it here in Frederikshavn, it is not that far from Sweden and I have fought here three times before, so it feels like home.’’

Tickets for Saturday night’s Nordic Fight Night are available at arenanord.dk.

Myriam Lamare (22-3, 10 KOs) touched down in Denmark today. The French boxer is confident that she will be taking Cecilia Braekhus’ (23-0, 7 KOs) WBA, WBC & WBO Female Welterweight titles home with her following their fight at the Arena Nord in Frederikshavn.

‘’I am very happy to be here in Denmark,’’ said Lamare. ‘’You might not believe me but I am even enjoying this weather, however I am not here to be a tourist, I am here to fight. Do you know why I have brought three corner men with me? So there will be enough space in their bags to bring Cecilia’s three belts back to Marseille with me.’’

Lamare and Braekhus will come face-to-face for the first time at tomorrow’s final press conference ahead of their clash on Saturday night. Tickets are available from arenanord.dk. The Nordic Fight Night will be broadcast live on Viasat 4 from 19.30-0.30.
