WBO super bantamweight world champion, Emanuel “Vaquero” Navarrete, was training hard in Tijuana for his upcoming defense of the title.

Navarrete (28-1, 24 KO's) will face Filipino Juan Miguel “Boss” Elorde (28-1, 15 KO's) on the national Mexican weekend, this coming Saturday, September 14, at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Practically closing the strong stage of his preparation, Navarrete showed his class, his level and his conditioning. He had two rounds of sparring without too much intensity and showed his high volume of accurate punches.

Navarrete is also on weight, and will not be forced to take part in any rigorous diets and much less, sacrifice himself with dehydration or extra hours of work to cut down.

“We feel very good, very strong. You have to remember that I fought less than a month ago, so I bring that conditioning and accumulated preparation and right now I feel very strong, very fast, without any weight problems and I'm ready to give a great fight, against a very strong opponent,” said Navarrete.
