San Juan Zitlaltepec, State of Mexico. The WBO super bantamweight world champion, Emanuel “Vaquero” Navarrete, finished up the strong stage of his training on Wednesday, with a view to headlining the Promociones Zanfer event next Saturday night.

Zanfer returns to staging live events, behind closed doors, after the suspension of activities due to the coronavirus pandemic almost three months ago.

The function will take place on June 20th, at the TV Azteca studios in Mexico City, complying in a timely and strict manner with the health protocols established jointly by the health authorities of the Mexican capital, as well as by the medical bodies of the Box Commission of Mexico City and the World Boxing Council.

The card will be carried in the United States by ESPN, as announced by Top Rank.

On Wednesday, Navarrete exhibited his great condition, power, speed and endurance that he acquired over seven weeks while training on San Juan Zitlatepec.

Navarrete (31-1-0, 27 KO's) will face Uriel “Yuca” López (15-13-1, 6 KO's) in a non-title fight, over ten rounds at featherweight.
