GUAYNABO, PUERTO RICO- Before his travel to his home in Philadelphia, World Boxing Association (WBA) and World Boxing Council (WBC) champion, Danny “Swift” Garcia did a light work at the Felix Pagan Pintor Gym in Amelia, Guaynabo, where he also shared with the former two time world champion Ivan “Iron Boy” Calderon and children and fans present in the place.

Garcia (27-0, 16 KOs) spent several days in Puerto Rico to participate in the conference to formalize their title defense against Mexico's Mauricio Herrera (20-3 , 7 KOs) on March 15 at the Ruben Rodriguez Coliseum Bayamon, in a presentation of Golden Boy Promotions and Swift Promotions in association with PR Best Boxing Promotions (PRBBP), which will air on Showtime.

Along with his father Angel Garcia, the undefeated gladiator came to the gym, administrated by Calderón (a former titleholder in 105 and 108 pounds) to worked on the ring with some floor exercises and teach children some boxing techniques.

“I’m very happy and proud to be Puerto Rican and how I have been treated by everybody here. Thanks to Ivan Calderon, a great champion and all the Puerto Rican children and all fans who welcomed me here”, Garcia said.

Garcia will face Herrera in his fifth defense of the WBC belt and the fourth of his WBA crown.

Also in the March 15 show, heavyweights Deontay “The Bronze Bomber” Wilder (30-0, 30 KOs) and Malik “King” Scott (36-1-1 , 13 KOs) will fight in a WBC eliminator scheduled to 12 rounds and former 122 and 126 punds world champions Juan Manuel “Juanma” Lopez (33-3, 30 KOs) and Daniel Ponce de Leon (45-5, 35 KOs) will fight in a rematch for the World Boxing Organization (WBO) International junior lightweight title scheduled to 10 rounds.
