Manchester - In a middleweight rematch, Chris Eubank Jr. (33-3, 24 KOs) got revenge by dropped, punishing and stopping Liam Smith (33-4-1, 20 KOs) in ten rounds. (photos by Lawrence Lustig)

Back in January, Smith pulled out a stunner when he knocked Eubank out in four rounds.

A feeling out process in the first round. Eubank was looking to land and create immediate distance or grab. Eubank was doing a lot of hitting on the inside when they got close and wrestled around.  There wasn't much from either in the second, but Eubank seemed to be doing more work and landing more often. 

In the third, Eubank was letting his hands go and starting to unload with flashy combinations. At the start of the fourth, Eubank connected with a solid shot to drop Smith down. The referee gave Smith too much time to recover and allowing him to go to his corner to place his mouthpiece back in. When the round resumed, Eubank was working him over with solid punches and rocked his legs more than once.

During the fifth, Eubank rocked Smith with hooks and was really unloading on him against the ropes. Smith managed to weather the storm and held Eubank to get out of trouble. The sixth had Eubank come firing with more heavy hooks and uppercuts. He was also digging to the body of Smith. 

In the seventh, Eubank was jabbing hard and digging to the body. Smith was unable to make the right adjustments to turn things around. During the eight, Eubank was pretty much picking his spots and connecting with accurate punches. The ninth saw Eubank come out digging to the body in close and then creating distance to land head shots. Smith was being worked over by solid punches. 

Eubank came out in the tenth with punishing punches to send Smith down for a second time. Smith beat the count and was trying to survive as Eubank went for the finish. Eubank was unloading against the ropes and the referee stepped in to wave off the fight.
