The Nicaraguan was originally set to face Juan Francisco Estrada in a much-anticipated trilogy fight, but after Estrada was forced to pull out of the fight after testing positive for COVID-19, the young Mexican flyweight MARTINEZ stepped up to take on a mouth-watering fight for boxing fans.
CHOCOLATITO looks to bounce back from his last fight, having been edged to a decision by old foe Estrada in what many called fight of the year in 2021. Reigning WBC flyweight champion MARTINEZ will move up two weight classes on Saturday night as when he takes on the former four-weight world champion.
The Mexican flyweight star will be looking to make a statement at the weekend, with many seeing this as a big step up after a No Contest result against McWilliams Arroyo back in November 2021.
