U.S. Bank Arena, Cincinnati, Ohio - Former three division world champion Adrien Broner (29-1, 22KOs) won a twelve round unanimous decision over Emmanuel Taylor (18-3, 12KOs) in an exciting contest. In the co-featured attraction, Lucas Matthysse (36-3, 34KOs) defeated previously unbeaten Roberto Ortiz (31-1-1, 24KOs) with a second round knockout. The KO was controversial, with some ringside observers believing that Ortiz beat the count.

Former two-time welterweight champion Andre Berto (29-3, 22KOs) got his first victory in three years with a ten round unanimous decision over Steve Upsher (24-4-1, 6KOs). All three judges saw the fight 99-91.
