Manchester Arena, Manchester - In what is being billed as the final fight of his pro career, former world champion Anthony Crolla (35-7-3, 13 KOs) won a much tougher than expected ten round majority decision win over Frank Urquiaga (13-2-1, 1 KO). The scores were 95-95, 98-92 and 97-93. (photos by Mark Robinson)

Crolla was coming back from a brutal knockout loss at the hands of Vasiliy Lomachenko, which took place back in April.

Crolla began his career in 2006. He capture the WBA lightweight title in 2016 with a knockout of Ismael Barroso. He lost the title in his first defense, a few months later, to Jorge Linares.

Urquiaga did better than anyone expected - which is certainly due to Crolla's decline in recent years. Urquiaga had success with a decent workrate early on and hurt Crolla with a well placed body shot in the third.

As the fight played out, Urquiaga's workrate declined and Crolla was able to land more of the punches that he wanted.
