LONDON - Frank Buglioni’s world title bid against Russian assassin Fedor Chudinov will be BoxNation’s 250th live show as the channel celebrates turning 4 years old.  Both fighters took part in the weighin on Friday and came in at 167-pounds.

‘The Channel of Champions’ has blossomed into the world’s undisputed number one boxing channel since it was launched in 2011, and is now set to celebrate another year at the top on 30th September.

Super-middleweight ace Buglioni will be looking to get the celebrations underway this Saturday night when he takes on WBA champion Chudinov at The SSE Arena in Wembley for BoxNation’s historic 250th live contest.

It is fitting that Buglioni is the one to headline this landmark achievement with BoxNation having screened all his fights live and exclusive on the channel since he turned professional against Sabie Montieth in November 2011.

The bout with the unbeaten Chudinov, who has a record of 13 wins with ten knockouts, represents the Londoner’s stiffest test as he looks to achieve a lifelong dream of becoming world champion.

“I can’t wait for the fight now,” said Buglioni. “I know this is the toughest fight of my career and I’ve done all the hardwork and can guarantee the fans in the arena and those watching live on BoxNation a very special night. It’s going to be explosive because you have two guys in there who can punch.

“To be headlining BoxNation’s 250th live fight also means a lot to me, especially since all my fights have been shown on the channel. I’m out to deliver an early 4th birthday present for the channel by bringing the world title back to Britain,” he said.

BoxNation’s spectacular rise has been unprecedented with the fight channel showing over 1000 professional bouts from 23 different countries, including over 200 world championship fights, 57 European title contests and 76 British and Commonwealth title battles.

Over the last year BoxNation has also shown a host of leading names with the likes of pound-for-pound king Floyd Mayweather’s final bout against Andre Berto, plus Sergey Kovalev, Amir Khan, Wladimir Klitschko, Billy Joe Saunders and many more.

The upcoming schedule to welcome the channel’s fourth year includes megafights such as Puerto Rican legend Miguel Cotto’s middleweight world title defence against Mexican icon Canelo Alvarez, and Gennady Golovkin facing fellow hard-hitter David Lemieux.

Other standout contests to be aired exclusively live include Argentine knockout artist Lucas Matthysse’s bout with Viktor Postol for the vacant WBC light-welterweight title on October 3, British stars Terry Flanagan and Liam Smith’s respective world championship bouts on October 10 and welterweight world champion Tim Bradley’s matchup with Brandon Rios.

Jim McMunn, BoxNation Managing Director, said: “We are delighted to reach this milestone of 250 live fights on the channel, just ahead of what will be our 4th birthday. It’s fantastic that our 250th live show will feature Frank Buglioni whose fights have all been shown live on BoxNation. The channel has grown considerably since we launched in 2011 and continues to grow at a remarkable rate which has seen it turn into the unrivalled home of big-time boxing.”
