MONTE-CARLO - Boxing superstar GENNADY “GGG” GOLOVKIN and top rated challenger MARTIN MURRAY met on Sunday afternoon one day after Golovkin’s dominant 11th round stoppage victory at the Salle des Etoiles in Monte-Carlo and telecast live around the world.

With the win, Golovkin improved to 32-0-0 (29KO’s), including 19 consecutive knockouts as he defended his world title for the 13th time, surpassing Hall of Famer Marvin Hagler’s middleweight world title reign. Golovkin is currently the WBA/IBO and ‘Interim’ WBC Middleweight Champion.

Fighting valiantly throughout the fight including suffering three knockdowns, Murray moved to 29-2-1 (12KO’s) as the bout was stopped by referee Luis Pabon at the :50 mark of the 11th round.
