Hull rivals Luke Campbell and Tommy Coyle were all smiles as they weighed in for Saturday night's 'Rumble on the Humber' at the KC Lightstream Stadium.

Campbell weighed in slightly heavier at 9st 8lbs 5oz with Coyle 9st 8lbs dead - both comfortably inside the lightweight limit of 9st 9lbs [135-pounds].

The pair smiled in the sunshine during the face-off and the stillness was unbroken until Campbell lifted both hands aloft and cheered in salute of the boisterous local support.

Campbell (11-0-KO9) was returning to the scene of his homecoming after winning an Olympic gold medal in 2012, and told Sky Sports: "It was great. It's exciting. Everyone coming here is fantastic. All the hard work is done and now it's just time to enjoy it.

"That day (in 2012) is something I'll never forget. It was such a memorable day for me and now we're back here for a massive fight in Hull. It's going to be a great fight and everyone will turn out to support us.

"This is boxing but I'm in great shape, have come prepared and now it's about going out there and showing everyone how good I am. I'll do whatever I need to. I can do anything - box long or short. Whatever it is, it will happen.

"My aims and dreams are to achieve big things in the lightweight division. I want to be the best there is so it's about stepping up."

Asked for a prediction, the 27-year-old said: "If I start hitting Tommy Coyle with clean shots then he's going to get stopped."

Coyle said: "It's the biggest fight of my life and I was leaving nothing to chance. I'm just going to go in there and enjoy it. I'll do what I do and I think it'll be enough.

"Luke's not been some of the places I've been in a professional ring. I've made a career of getting knocked down and getting back up again. In 24 hours, everyone will know the score.

"These fans in Hull are the real winners. Whatever happens, it'll live long in the memories in Hull and I'm proud to be a part of it. It's going to be a hard night but I've got Jamie Moore and NIgel Travis in my corner and they're two very knowledgeable men."

Things were slightly more heated between Brian Rose and Carson Jones ahead of their rematch.

Rose, who was controversially stopped by the American in the first round in February, reacted when Jones appeared to feint a headbutt - pressing his forehead against his opponent and earning himself a push in the chest for his troubles before the pair were separated.

The Blackpool fighter had to weigh-in twice to make the agreed catchweight of 11st 4lbs, too. He eventually returned to the scales having shed more than enough, tipping them at 11st 3lbs 1oz.

Dillian Whyte, Ricky Burns, Stuart Hall and Martin J Ward also weighed in ahead of a packed night of boxing action.
