Petros Ananyan and Daniel Gonzalez put on an inter-borough barnburner for a fight-starved city.

In the end, Ananyan was the one with his hands raised, earning a majority decision over Gonzalez on the undercard of the Cletus Seldin-William Silva TrillerVerz main event at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

One judge had it a draw, 95-95, while the two others both scored it 96-94 for the 32-year-old Ananyan, a Russian native who resides in Brooklyn; Gonzalez, 31, hails from nearby Queens.

A closely-contested fight, Ananyan managed to close strong in the 10th and final round. He landed a left hook that caused Gonzalez's legs into Jell-O, followed by an array of vicious combinations. Gonzalez somehow hung on to hear the final bell.

There were dramatic momentum changes throughout the bout.

Ananyan was in control in the first half of the fight, outpointing the sluggish-looking Gonzalez with crisp punches. By the fourth round, Ananyan had Gonzalez bleeding from a cut caused by a hard right hand.

It did not seem like Gonzalez would make it past the middle round.

Yet, the native New Yorker bit down and mounted his own sally to briefly take control in rounds five through eight.

The win awarded Ananyan (16-2-2, 7 KOs) with a secondary sanctioning body trinket.

Gonzalez (20-3-1, 7 KOs) began showing signs of fatigue in the third round. Toward the end of the round, with Gonzalez on the ropes, Ananyan rifled off a combination that ended with a thudding left hand to the body.

Ananyan continued to outland — and beat up — Gonzalez in the fourth round. Ananyan landed his best punch of the fight, an overhand right that opened up a cut over Gonzalez’s right eye, causing blood to start streaming over his face. Moments later, Ananyan staggered Gonzalez with another overhand right.

In the fifth round, Gonzalez responded with his best offensive effort in the fight. Using constant pressure, Gonzalez tried to bullyrag Ananyan along the ropes. Although he did not land too many punches of consequence, Gonzalez prevented Ananyan from mounting a proper offense. Still, Ananyan came back at the end of the round with a brief sally of his own.

The tide briefly turned in the sixth round. After Ananyan fell to the canvas when his foot got tangled up with Gonzalez's, Gonzalez roared back a flurry of combinations. He landed  an overhand right that stunned Ananyan.

In the seventh round, Gonzalez continued to display his resurgence. He out-landed a now docile Ananyan. Gonzalez cracked Ananyan with a four-punch combination to finish out the round.

A brawl broke out in the eighth round. With a minute left, Ananyan stunned Gonzalez with a hard left hook that sent him toppling into the ropes. As Ananyan moved in for the kill, Gonzalez managed to stun the Russian in return.

The final two rounds saw both fighters slugging it out in the middle of the ring. With his back against the ropes, Ananyan landed a left hook that caused Gonzalez to buckle at the knees. Ananyan, sensing Gonzalez was hurt, followed with a flurry of straight right hands. Moments later, Gonzalez circled away, briefly turning his back. Ananyan continued to whale away on Gonzalez, landing a slew of left and rights, but Gonzalez, incredibly, did not touch the canvas.
