There was much dejection that came from Lamont Peterson and his team after Peterson dropped a close twelve round majority decision to Danny Garcia in the Premier Boxing Champions main event on Saturday night at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. His brother, Anthony Peterson, feels that the decision should have been clear in the favor of his brother.

“Basically Lamont Peterson showed up and showed out and beat Danny Garcia eight rounds to four,” Peterson said to BoxingScene.com.”

Plenty was made about the early rounds and how they played out. Peterson moved a lot early on forcing Garcia to chase and miss. All three judges scored five of the first six rounds for Garcia putting Peterson in a big hole. Peterson came on strong but many question if that push came just too late.

His brother doesn’t with the assessment. Following the conclusion of the fight, Anthony claims Garcia went over to Lamont and acknowledged him as the winner.

“Hell no,” Peterson said. “Mayweather uses the ring all the damn time. So you telling me that style is only for Floyd Mayweather and not any other fighter? I’m just so irritating, boxing is so f***in ridiculous."

"That’s two losses that boy got on his record, Herrera and now Lamont. Lamont just dominated this boy and Danny even told Lamont in his ear that he won. His handlers know, he knows, his fans know; that Danny Garcia lost the fight.”
