Middleweight contender Fernando Guerrero (25-1, 19KOs) has advised BoxingScene.com that he accepted a proposal to fight WBO middleweight champion Peter Quillin (28-0, 20KOs) in a Showtime televised fight on February 9th from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. The main event features Danny Garcia defending his WBC/WBA titles against former beltholder Zab Judah.

Guerrero has won four in a row since suffering a TKO upset loss to Grady Brewer in June 2011. Quillin captured gold in October when he dropped Hassan N'Jikam four times to win a decision. Should the match get finalized, it would feature a rare situation where two fighters managed by Al Haymon are colliding in the ring.
