World ranked Marco Antonio Periban (25-3-1, 16 KOs) is not impressed with the undefeated record of his upcoming opponent, rising super middleweight contender Avni "Mr. Robot" Yidlirim of Turkey.

The two boxers will collide for the WBC Silver championship on May 13 at the Teatro Palcco de Zapopan, Jalisco in Mexico. The contest will be transmitted by Televisa Deportes.

Marco, who has been raising his hand in the pursuit of a world title at super middleweight, is hoping to eventually work his way to a world title crack. The WBC title, left vacant by Badou Jack, will be contested for in the near future by Anthony Dirrell and Callum Smith.

Periban feels very motivated by having the home field advantage and plans to give the Turkish boxer his first career loss.

"I am in my house and no undefeated fighter will come here to impose his conditions. I've already faced seven unbeaten fighters and I've only lost with one of them," Periban said.

"I'm not afraid of Yildirim. There must be something good about him to be 15-0, but I'm not one to get intimidated. It's the opportunity I was hoping to get, in order to get myself right back into the top of the rankings and I will not waste it."

Yildirim stopped five of his last six opponents and he's been gunning for better competition. He is managed and trained by Ahmet Oner a veteran promoter who worked with likes of Yuriorkis Gamboa, Odlanior Solis, Erislandy Lara, Guillermo Rigondeaux and more.

After going 0-3-1 in four fights from 2013 to 2014, Periban got himself back in the mix by winning his next five fights in a row - including a win over undefeated German Rafael last May.

The only knockout loss on Periban's record came in 2014, when he was stopped by current IBF super middleweight world champion James DeGale.
