Junior welterweight contender Paul McCloskey (23-1, 12 KOs) is currently negotiating a deal to return to the ring in late February or early March of next year. The boxer last appeared in September, winning a twelve round decision over Breidis Prescott in a WBA eliminator to gain a shot at the "regular" champion Marcos Maidana, who plans to move up in weight to face Devon Alexander in a welterweight clash on February 25th in St. Louis.

[My] aim is to be out [by] late February, early March. Negotiations are ongoing at the minute," noted McCloskey.
