Paul Kroll has a simple yet direct mindset for his return to the ShoBox platform this weekend.

“We’re gonna kick some ass,” the unbeaten junior middleweight prospect said ahead of his second career Showtime appearance. “I’m gonna beat up my opponent.”

Philadelphia’s Kroll (10-0-1, 6KOs) will face Guido Schramm (16-1-1, 9KOs)—an Argentine boxer based out of Los Angeles—in a scheduled eight-round contest as part of a televised tripleheader this Friday from Wind Creek Events Center in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. It comes more than seventeen months after Kroll’s debut on the long-running ShoBox series, an eight-round draw versus Marquis Taylor last February 18 in Orlando, Florida.

The lone blemish on his record doesn’t look nearly as bad in the aftermath. Taylor has since won three straight, including a ten-round, unanimous decision over then-unbeaten Yoelvis Gomez as part of a July 8 Showtime tripleheader in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

Kroll returned to the win column with a six-round decision on a local club show this past May 27 in Newton Township, Pennsylvania. He returns to the level of competition that will either see him advance, or left to answer questions about his career.

For now, he’s only interested in talking in the ring.

“There’s nothing really else to say. It’s a good opportunity to get back on Showtime. I’m looking forward to it and just ready to fight. I’m looking forward to making weight and then going out to kick some butt.”

D.C.’s Jordan White (14-1-1, 10KOs) faces unbeaten Dominican prospect Eridson Garcia (17-0, 11KOs) in a ten-round, junior lightweight bout in the evening’s main event. The three-fight telecast will open with a cross-state junior lightweight battle between Reading’s Julian Gonzalez (10-0-1, 9KOs) and Pittsburgh’s Johnny Spell (8-0, 4KOs) scheduled for eight rounds.
