Copenhagen, Denmark - Dangerman Patrick "The Tiger" Mendy, 18-13-1, beat former WBA super middleweight champ Dmitri Chudinov, 23-4-2, over eight and it was a clear win where Mendy got off first with his dangerous left staggering the ex-champ a number of times.

Chudinov had his left eye almost swollen shut by the third and it gave him problems and he kept missing and overall looked too slow.

However the former champ kept trying and kept coming forward with Mendy outboxing him shooting off his left hook / upercut and Chudinov looked like a shot fighter.

It was scored 80-72 and 79-73 twice.

Unsung light heavyweight Georgian Lado Gabisonia, 4-0, clearly beat Andreas Lynggaard, 5-2, in the show opener of this edition of Mogens Palle and Brian Nielsen´s Danish Fight Night at the Frederiksberghall.

In January Lynggaard was involved in what no doubt was the fight of the year in Scandinavia when he lost a close call to Jonas Madsen - but on this occasion his timing was way off and he was never able to find his rythm against a willing, but limited slugger like Gabisonia.

Lynggaard was hurt by a right in the first round and was close to going down. He was under pressure in the second but did better after that but was never able to turn the tide and frequently tried to slug it out with an opponent, who had a bad cut by the left eye and bled from the nose but kept swinging - and many of them caught Andreas, who missed with his normally well timed, powerful hooks.

The judges had it 59-55 twice and 60-54.

Super welterweight Allan Mahfoud, 2-0, outscored Guram Kurtanidze, 3-3-3, over four and won every round. Mahfoud showed talent and is a good prospect but should perhaps cut out the "Prince Naseem" moves in his boxing. Anyway, it was scored 40-36 on all cards.
