Bell Centre, Montreal, Canada - Former WBC light heavyweight champion Jean Pascal (28-2-1, 17 KO's) stopped George Blades (23-5, 16 KO's) in five rounds. Pascal controlled the fight and hurt Blade several times, but in the fifth Pascal beat down Blade, scoring three knockdowns to get the TKO win. Pascal now moves forward to a showdown with Lucian Bute in January.

Rising light heavyweight contender Eleider Alvarez (13-0, 8KO's) got the biggest win of his career, and won the battle of Colombians, with a ten round unanimous decision over tough contender Edison Miranda (35-9, 30KO's). The scores were 95-94, 99-90, 97-92. Alvarez controlled more of less the first seven rounds. In the eight, he landed a huge right hand that sent Miranda down hard. Miranda made it up on unsteady legs and was able to make it to the bell as Alvarez was trying to finish him off. Alvarez outboxed Miranda in the final two, but Miranda never stopped coming or trying to land a big punch.

Kevin Bizier (21-0, 14KO's) dominated from start to finish to win an six round unanimous decision over Giuseppe Lauri (53-15, 31KO's). All three judges scored it 60-53.

Welterweight contender Antonin Decarie (27-2,8KO's) won a tougher than exepcted six round unanimous decision over Salim Larbi (17-3-2,5KO's). The scores were 59-55, 58-56 and 58-56. Decarie was cut in the fifth from a right hadn.

Light heavyweight contender Artur Beterbiev (2-0, 2KOs) is being fast tracked by GYM, and you can see why, as he stopped Rayco Saunders (23-23, 10KOs) in three rounds. Beterbiev was handing out punishment early and scored a questionable knockdown in the second, but then dropped Saunders down for good measure two more times in the third. Saunders was unable to come out for the fourth round. Beterbiev becomes only the second boxer ever to stop Saunders.
