The trilogy fight between Juan Manuel Marquez and Manny Pacquiao produced fireworks in the ring and generated a huge buyrate number on HBO pay-per-view. Top Rank president Todd duBoef is hoping to have the final number drop around 1.4 million homes, which is Pacquiao's highest pay-per-view number to date. Pacquiao-Marquez took place on November 12th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Pacquiao won a close twelve round majority decision.

"I don't have the exact number, but I can tell you that it's the best pay-per-view that Manny has had in his history. We are talking about [a number] that exceeds 1.3 million homes. We are hoping for it to be 1.4 million homes. Obviously [the fight] was greatly influenced by Juan Manuel Marquez because we understand that Latinos have a strong base in the United States and they buy the fights," said DuBoef to Sal Rodriguez.
