Pacquiao will challenge Spence for the WBC, IBF welterweight titles on August 21 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

The 42-year-old Pacquiao will be snapping a two-year layoff, with his last ring appearance taking place in July of 2019 - when he picked up a twelve round split decision win over Keith Thurman to capture the WBA title at 147-pounds.

Back in May of 2015, Mayweather won a twelve round unanimous decision over Pacquiao in what is still the most lucrative pay-per-view event in history.

In a recent interview, Mayweather expressed his interest in helping Spence prepare for the upcoming defense.

However, Pacquiao has no concerns with that scenario and took a swipe at Mayweather for fighting Youtube star Logan Paul in an exhibition in June.

“I don’t think Floyd can help Errol Spence. Errol Spence knows what he’s doing," Pacquiao stated during his recent open workout, according to The Mirror.

“He’s fighting with a YouTuber just to earn money. And I’m fighting the best to add to my legacy, so that’s different. To fight an easy opponent for the money or to fight one of the best to add to your legacy. It’s different.

“I can easily fight an easy opponent or non-boxers. I can easily pick an easy win, but I pick the best because I want to add more to my legacy of accomplishment. It’s a challenge, especially because he’s taller than me. We have a strategy that we can use against a southpaw. I know he always coming inside and he want to fight toe-to-toe so that’s good."
