Undefeated Pablo Cesar Cano has acknowledged that former three division champion Erik "El Terrible" Morales will be a very tough opponent, but the young boxer feels that he has the ability to surprise the veteran, and become the new junior welterweight champion (WBC) this Saturday at the MGM hotel and casino in Las Vegas.

"I think that there are some things that I can do. This opportunity that I hold in my hands - we have to seize it. I feel capable and now I just have to focus on the fight," said Cano.

"If you're confident that you can do a good job, why not grab an opportunity like the one I've been presented. No doubt Erik is a great fighter, with experience, and he's won many title fights, but I have a hunger to be someone in life and Morales is not invincible."

He knows full well that beating a guy like Morales will be far from easy, with numerous obstacles to overcome.

"I'm really looking forward to the fight. Physically and mentally I'm good. There will be no excuses. I'm going to arrive to this fight at 100% because I was getting ready to fight later this month, and also I never stopped training after my three round knockout over Mario Hermosillo on August 27 in Leon."

Pablo Cesar (23-0-1, 18 KOs), continued: "In Los Angeles, California and here in Las Vegas, reporters continue to tell me that I have very difficult fight on my hands. I always respect the press, but all I have to say is that I'm ready for a world title fight. I said hello to Erik and I thanked him and my promoter Golden Boy because thanks to them I am here."

Cano, 21, went further: "My fight, I dedicate it to my family, the people of Tlalnepantla and everyone throughout Mexico."
