Swedish heavyweight Otto Wallin (20-1-1) is back in training under Joey Gamache at the Mendez Gym in New York City and expects to have his next fight in February of 2020.

Wallin told SVT (Swedish public service TV) that there are ongoing negotiations with two major networks in the US. SVT also sited undisclosed sources with an offer for four fights and millions (most likely in Swedish currency) in purses.

Wallin´s claim to fame is the loss on points back in September to Tyson Fury but it must be said there´s an certain lack of "names" in the win column where only name Adrian Granat stands out.

Patricia Berghult won the vacant WBC interim and IBO super welterweight titles with a unanimous decision over Hannah Rankin in St Julians, Malta, last night. Berghult floored Rankin seconds into the first round and held on down the stretch for a close win that might mean big business down the road.

The WBC stripped Ewa Piatkowska (for good reasons it must be said as Ewa is now campaigning at super lightweight) of the title earlier this year and later sanctioned Claressa Shields and Ivana Habazin to fight for the vacant title. That fight was set for October 5 but was canceled at the last moment and is now rescheduled for January 10. There´s a good chance Berghult as interim champ gets the chance to fight the winner.

Also in the cards could be an all-Swedish showdown agaiinst comebacking former WBC titlist Mikaela Lauren and a Scandinavian megafight against Cecilia Braekhus.

Lejarraga was stopped in his last two fights, both times against David Avanesyan, and it was afterwards partly blamed on problems making the weight. Correct or not it looked like Kerman had poor punch resistance as well.
