Otar Eranosyan is quickly becoming a force at 130 pounds. His next fight could lead to a shot at a world title belt.

Eranosyan could return to action this summer and could face “a top junior lightweight contender,” says Svyatoslav Mangushev, who promotes Eranosyan.

The 29-year-old Eranosyan picked up another win last Wednesday night, defeating Mexico’s Edy Valencia by unanimous decision. Scores were 97-93, 97-93, and 98-92 for Eranosyan, who improved to 13-0, 6 knockouts.

Mangushev was impressed with Eranosyan’s performance, believing the unbeaten Eranosyan is one of the top fighters in the division.

“Otar once again proved that his (strength) is in his fundamentals by defeating an experienced fighter with (a) great chin,” Mangushev told BoxingScene Monday. “He always positioned himself, had perfect balance with his footwork, just like an aggressive copy of (Vasiliy) Lomachenko.

“(Eranosyan) has very sharp and precise hands with great speed. He throws combinations, mixing power and speed, using different angles to attack. He makes it impossible for his opponent to counterattack. Otar has the potential to be one of the greatest (fighters) in boxing history.”

Wednesday marked the second time Eranosyan fought on a ProBox TV card. In his previous fight on September 9, Eranosyan defeated former world junior featherweight title challenger Cesar Juarez by unanimous decision.

Boxing fans should be familiar with Eranosyan as he has fought twice on ShoBox cards. In his previous fight on January 7 of last year, Eranosyan defeated Starling Castillo by unanimous decision in a clash of unbeaten fighters. Castillo was knocked down twice in the opening round.

Valencia, who resides in Culiacan, Mexico, falls to 20-11-6 1 NC, 7 KOs. The 32-year-old southpaw has lost five of his last six bouts.

In the co-feature of the ProBox TV card, junior middleweight prospect Marques Valle of Wesley Chapel, Florida improved to 9-0, 7 KOs, stopping Little Rock’s Demarcus Layton (8-5-1, 5 KOs) at 2:30 of the opening round.

In super middleweight action, 2020 Haitian Olympian Darrelle Valsaint knocked out late-sub Marcelo Bzowski (11-22-3) at 1:43 of the second round. Valsaint, who resides in nearby Orlando, improved to 8-0, 6 KOs.

De Von Williams of Fort Lauderdale dropped Oakland’s William Davis (1-1, 1 KO) twice en route to a knockout win at 40 seconds of the first round. Williams improved to 2-0, 2 KOs.
