Mexican Osvaldo “Gallito” Novoa is maximizing his training, to defend his world WBC mini-flyweight championship, against undefeated Thai Wanheng Menayothin on November 6th in Bangkok, Thailand.

Novoa's blood, sweat and tears work schedule is underway at the Saul Alvarez boxing school in Guadalajara, where he's "swotting up," on all the swat angles and mathematical probabilities, commenting: “ We are three weeks away from the fight.  I'm working six to eight rounds with Negrito Silvestre and Chino Rodriguez. I feel very powerful. I have great condition and I'll be at 200% capacity!”

Summing up, Novoa calculates that to gain top marks or even better, he must multiply effort, carefully divide his time, plus avoid a slide to rule, adding: “ Wanhengb is a dangerous challenger and as all fighters, he wants to become world champion, but it cost lots of effort to get there, and I WON'T lose it."

“From the very beginning I'll be throwing punches, but I must also be intelligent.  My challenger counts on the support of his hometown fans, but  I just don't care about that. I WILL show them all, why I'm the champion!”

Novoa (14-4-1, 9 KOs) says he doesn't pore or bore over videos of his opponents. “ I feel that as a boxer, you change in every single duel. Sometimes you get prepared for a specific style but at the moment of the fight, things are different.”

He's eager to fight Menayothin, with: (35-0, 11 KO´s) “Technical skills! I have to close all the exits. You have to force it at all times. I'll be prepared to fight all 12 rounds, but I will try to knock him out before that!”
