The stage is officially set for the summer season finale of Boxeo Telemundo. Headlining the telecast, Edgar 'Nene' Ortega (14-1, 10KOs) faces Daniel Rosario in a scheduled 10-round welterweight bout, airing live from Salon Jose Cuervo in Mexico City (Friday, Telemundo, 11:35 p.m. ET).

Both fighters easily made weight during Thursday's weigh-in. Ortega hit the scales right at the 147 lb. divisional limit, while Rosario (8-0, 7KOs) was slightly under at a fighting ready 146 lb.

"This is a great matchup between two upcoming welterweight prospects," notes promoter Felix 'Tuto' Zabala. "It will be an all our war. When you have two young warriors from Mexico and Puerto Rico, the results are guaranteed."

Rosario-Cruz (8-0, 7KOs) fights for the first time in Mexico in addition to making his network debut. The Puerto Rican knockout artist, coming off of a 1st round stoppage this past March, has never been extended beyond the fourth round of any given fight.

Ortega (14-1, 10KOs), who has fought exclusively in Mexico in his young career, rides a nine-fight win streak heading into Friday's clash.
