Orlando 'Capu' Gonzalez will remain in Central Florida for his next several fights.

BoxingScene.com has confirmed the Puerto Rican southpaw has signed a multi-fight agreement with sports streaming service ProBox TV. His first fight under the new agreement will come versus Texas’ Jorge Castaneda in a ten-round junior lightweight bout on November 29 from Whitesands Events Center, the ProBox TV headquarters in Plant City, Florida.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed, though Boxing Scene has learned that it is for at least three fights.

The news bookends an uplifting month for Gonzalez and his family. His cousin is unbeaten junior lightweight Henry ‘Moncho’ Lebron (19-0, 10KOs), who lodged arguably his best win to date in a ten-round decision over fellow undefeated prospect William Foster III on November 4 in Stateline, Nevada.

Now it is Gonzalez’s turn to continue the good fortunes. The 28-year-old southpaw from Aguadilla, Puerto Rico extended his current three-fight win streak on a ProBox show, when he outpointed Ramiro Cesena over ten rounds on July 26 at Kissimmee Civic Center in Kissimmee, Florida.

The current run followed a rough stretch where Gonzalez (21-2, 12KOs)—who was previously signed to Top Rank—lost twice in a span of three fights. He was outpointed over ten rounds by two-time Olympic Gold medalist Robeisy Ramirez, who has since emerged as the WBO featherweight champion more than a year after their October 2021 clash. He then dropped an eight-round decision to Misael Lopez last September before rattling off three wins.

All three bouts have taken place at junior lightweight, having moved up immediately after the loss to Lopez.

Gonzalez’s upcoming clash versus Castaneda (16-2, 12KOs) will mark his third straight in Central Florida, where he will fight through the remainder of 2024 per the terms of his ProBox platform deal.
